Alianza Americas works with its membership, through educational workshops, to grow an understanding of the climate friendly opportunities and benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

Through popular education workshops, we raise awareness about the just transition, energy efficiency, and the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act--including rebates for high-efficiency appliances, solar energy panel installation, and green jobs. Through resource creation and education, we help our member organizations advocate for inclusion and affordability in the implantation of the state and local rebate programs.

 GOALS

• Expand awareness the benefits of the IRA within Alianza Americas member organizations and to encourage the eventual utilization of the benefits and resources available.
• Generate resources and tools to provide information and train people as community navigators in programs such as IRA.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• For organizations to be a reliable bridge of information to the community about the IRA.
• Capacity building for climate justice navigators
• Promoting a connection between the organization and decision makers.
• Creating opportunities to make more visible the need for programs to be more inclusive.
