Climate Crisis Tales: Challenges and Solutions from Central America

Climate change profoundly impacts life on our planet, exacerbating environmental threats with significant economic and social repercussions. In Central America, phenomena such as hurricanes, forest fires, and droughts, aggravated by activities such as mining, deforestation, and illegal fishing, have devastating effects on the most vulnerable communities. In this context, freedom of the press is essential to reporting on the conditions that drive people from their territories. Reporting freely is vital to understanding and measuring the impact of the climate crisis in Central America.

We invite you to join us for a discussion of the current environmental events in the region and the challenges that the independent press faces in covering them. We will also discuss the responses needed to address these challenges.
