Kilmar Is Not Alone: The Fight for Justice in Times of State Complicity

2025

Join us for a conversation featuring reflections from the recent delegation led by Congressman Glenn Ivey during his recent visit to El Salvador. The delegation traveled to check on the well-being of Kilmar Abrego García and witness firsthand the deterioration of democracy and human rights in the country.

Both the United States and El Salvador’s government appear to be acting without accountability, raising serious concerns about justice, human rights, and democratic integrity. During their visit, the group met with civil society organizations to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation.

This conversation will be an opportunity to reflect collectively on how our communities can respond, from the aspect of legal defense to the creation of public policies amid this injustice.
