Older adults in the face of climate crisis and forced displacement.

2024

When older adults lose their homes and communities due to a climate disaster, they face uncertainty, exacerbating their vulnerabilities related to their age. When displaced, older adults – already vulnerable due to their advanced age – suffer from the lack of access to health care and social protections, adding to their emotional and physical burden. In our next webinar in the series “Intersecting Risks: Vulnerable Populations and Climate Change in Central America and Mexico,” we will address how climate change and displacement impact older adults and seek to mobilize solutions that ensure their protection and dignity.

When: Wednesday, September 11

Time: 12:00 p.m. ET | 11:00 a.m. CT | 9:00 a.m. PT

This webinar will be conducted in Spanish with English interpretation
