Alianza Americas and the Foundation for Justice (FJEDD) invite you to a virtual conversation to present the findings of the report Judicial Independence in Check: Attacks on the Judiciary in Mexico, 2018–2024.

During the 2018–2024 presidential term, the judiciary faced a populist narrative against it and reforms that culminated in the 2024 constitutional amendment. This situation poses serious threats to judicial independence and democratic balance in Mexico. Experts will analyze the risks of the reform and the challenges for democracy.
