Without Shade, Without Rest: Documentary and Discussion on Extreme Heat and Labor Rights

2026

Virtual event organized by We Count! and Alianza Americas

Extreme heat is putting the health and lives of thousands of outdoor workers in the United States at risk. How do organized communities respond when rising temperatures intersect with policies that deny labor protections?

We invite you to participate in a virtual event that combines a screening of the documentary *Without Shade, Without Rest* with a conversation on climate justice, labor rights, and community organizing.

The documentary follows the work of the Immokalee Workers Coalition (CIW) and We Count!, two organizations advancing complementary strategies to expand heat protections for agricultural workers and other outdoor workers in Florida.
