Alianza Americas 2022 Leadership Assembly Kicks Off November 11, Bringing Together Migrant Leaders and Allies from Across U.S.
October 31, 2022 – Starting Friday, November 11, leaders from the multiracial coalition that make up the Alianza Americas network will congregate in Washington, D.C. as part of the organization’s biannual Leadership Assembly: #SomosComunidad. Given the likelihood that the November midterms will result in major political recompositions in parts of the country, representatives from the 54 grassroots groups that make up the Alianza Americas coalition will strategize over how our communities can best respond to an adjusted political landscape.
The event will start off with two in-person/virtual panels that will analyze the midterm election results, and the implications for Latin American, Indigenous and Afro-Latino communities in the Americas. These panels are open to the general public.
